Garbage and recycling is being collected on plowed streets in Logan only on 1/23/2017. This means that there is NO garbage and recycling service in Mendon, Newton, Clarkson, Amalga, Trenton, Cornish or in unincorporated areas of Cache County whose garbage is regularly collected on 1/23/2017.
We will return to areas that are not collected today on Tuesday 1/24/2017. If we are unable to access your street due to snow, please plan on bagging your extra garbage and setting it out next to your can the following week on your regular collection day (1/30/2017). If there are changes to this schedule due to continued snow, we will notify individual Cities and put the information on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/cityoflogan), on Twitter (@cityoflogan), and our website at http://www.loganutah.org/government/departments/environmental/index.php.
We ask that residents help the garbage and snow plow drivers out by standing their cans up if they are tipped over, bringing them in off of the street as soon as they are emptied, and clearing the snow from the lids.
We also remind residents to help out your community by working to clear snow from sidewalks within 24 hours of the end of the storm, clear fire hydrants in a 3 foot radius, and to avoid pushing snow into city streets or across the road. And, most importantly, look for neighbors that might need your assistance in snow removal on sidewalks, driveways, and around fire hydrants. We appreciate our residents help to make Logan City safer!
Every available piece of snow removal equipment operated by Logan City is out and working on snow removal in all corners of the City! We appreciate your patience as we continue to work to clear streets from this large snow event. You can see our snow removal plan and priority list here:http://www.loganutah.org/government/departments/public_works/streets/snow.php
