City Transit Buses Will Have New Look On The Street
The City of Cheyenne Transit Program buses will have a new look when they hit the streets over the next couple of weeks.
The all white buses will be transformed into purple and white buses.
“We decided to have the buses wrapped so the public can easily identify them on the street,” said Renae Jording, City of Cheyenne Transit Program Director. “Our buses are often confused with church, hospital or senior care buses in town and we wanted them to be easily identifiable.
Bus wraps also provide an added layer of protection and are less likely to rust, said Jording.
The City ordered four new buses – three route buses and one paratransit bus – which will be in the new color scheme.
The cost to wrap 15 buses in the system is $84,300. The majority of funding for this project came from a federal transportation grant with the match being provided by the City.
