Outdoor Science Skills
Thursday, July 5th, 9 am – 4 pm
$30/family or group of 4 ($5 each additional participant)
Fees are applied to family members age 3+
All ages welcome
Join the Ogden Nature Center and the Boy Scouts Webelos Trailer for a fun-filled day of Scout badge activities. Drop in for a few hours or spend the whole day visiting
different science stations around the Nature Center. Participate in archery, make wrist rockets, learn about geology, trees, and demonstrate first responder skills. All students welcome! You do not need to be a Webelo to participate. All participants need to be accompanied by a parent or scout leader throughout the day. Pre-registration and drop-ins are welcome. Find out first hand why owls are called the Tigers of the Sky. They are fantastic predators and killers. Come to the Ogden Nature Center where you’ll learn about owl’s favorite foods and have the opportunity to look inside an owl pellet. Please meet in the Visitor Center.

Wild Wednesdays: Endangered and Threatened in Utah

With the help of Laser the Desert Tortoise, discover what it means to be an endangered species. Learn what causes animals and plants to become endangered and what you can do to help. This program will highlight some scout requirements. Please meet in the Visitor Center.

Wild Wednesdays: Seed Adventures

From hitchhiking on our shoes, being carried in the bellies of animals, and soaring through the wind, seeds go through quite an adventure to find new areas to grow. Explore the unseen, wild world of seeds, play dispersal games and watch seeds move out in the wild. Please meet in the Visitor Center.

R.A.M.P. SUMMER SATURDAYS

The Ogden Nature Center is offering free admission and activities on Saturdays during the summer, through August 4. Activities are led by a naturalist and will be held at 10 am and 2 pm every Saturday.
Activities will include guided nature walks, live animal presentations, games, creative nature crafts and more. Just show up and have fun! Please check in at the Visitor Center front desk.
