BioUtah Announces Jeffrey Shuren, MD, JD, Director of the Center for Devices and Radiological Health as the Luncheon Keynote Speaker for the 9th Annual Utah Life Sciences Summit

sciences community, is pleased to announce that Jeffrey Shuren, MD, JD,
Director of the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) at the
U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will keynote the luncheon
session of the 2018 BioUtah Utah Life Sciences Summit. The annual Summit
will be held November 1, in Salt Lake City, UT, at the Salt Lake

fostering device innovation. As the Center’s Director, Dr. Shuren is at
the forefront of advancing new technologies while improving patient care.
Dr. Shuren has held various policy and planning positions within FDA
from 1998 to 2009, including Acting Deputy Commissioner for Policy,
Planning, and Budget; Associate Commissioner for Policy and Planning;
and Special Counsel to the Principal Deputy Commissioner. Dr. Shuren is
board certified in Neurology and served as an Assistant Professor of
Neurology at the University of Cincinnati.
