SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (September 20, 2018) – The Utah Championship will return to Oakridge Country Club located in Farmington, Utah, June 24-30. This is the third consecutive year the event will take place in Davis County. Past winners of the event include two-time major champions John Daly (1990) and Zach Johnson (2003), two-time PGA TOUR winner Patton Kizzire (2015), Brice Garnett (2017), who won the TOUR’s inaugural Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship in March of 2018, and this year’s champion, Cameron Champ.
"We look forward to another successful year at Oakridge Country Club and I think moving the tournament up two weeks will be a great benefit for the event", says Jeff Robbins, President and CEO of the Utah Sports Commission, "We have a tremendous group of sponsors and partners that make the Utah Championship a success and we are excited to welcome Tony Finau and his foundation as a beneficiary again for 2019." The partnership with the Tony Finau Foundation, which supports aspiring professional golfers from Utah, began prior to the 2018 Utah Championship. Along with other PGA TOUR players from Utah, Finau will provide resources and help develop young, talented players who may not have the financial means to chase their golf dreams. As in past years, the Huntsman Cancer Foundation will receive a portion of the proceeds to aid in the fight against cancer. The Utah Championship is televised over 15 hours on GOLF Channel, nine of which are broadcast live, driving $4 million dollars in economic impact to the state of Utah. The 2019 Web.com Tour schedule will feature 27 tournaments played in 17 states and four countries outside the United States, culminating with the Web.com Tour Finals in August and September.
