Autumn Voices

The Combined Choirs from the USU Department of Music will perform a variety of great choral music in harmony with this season of change. The USU Women’s Choir, under the direction of Claudia Bigler, will perform arrangements of the haunting early American hymns "No Time" and "Come, Pretty Love," as well as the Billy Joel favorite, "And So it Goes." The USU Chorale will present Palestrina’s immortal "Sicut Cervus" and the women of the choir will sing a spirited new arrangement of "Keep Your Lamps Trimmed and Burning." The men of the Chorale will be joined by guest conductor Dr. Craig Jessop, Dean of the Caine College of the Arts, as they present two numbers from the upcoming presentation "War and the Human Heart," a collaboration with the American Festival Chorus and Orchestra. The Chamber Singers will perform selections from their upcoming album recording project "Be Thou My Vision," to be recorded in mid-October with the Grammy Award-winning recording engineer, Bruce Leek.
