FileShadow Now Supports Archiving and Cataloging of Adobe Lightroom Photos Cloud Storage

PROVO, Utah & LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#AdobeMAX2018–Adobe MAX—FileShadow
today makes an exciting announcement that its file archiving and
protection service now supports files uploaded to the Creative Cloud
from Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic
as a cloud storage source. In addition to support for most popular cloud
file systems, FileShadow will now support archiving of files uploaded to
Creative Cloud from Adobe’s Lightroom solutions. This includes both
original files uploaded from Lightroom CC and Smart Previews uploaded
from Lightroom Classic.

In addition to Lightroom, FileShadow backs up and catalogs photos and
files across multiple cloud storage platforms such as Box, Dropbox,
Google Drive, OneDrive, OneDrive for Business, Adobe Creative Cloud,
and Drobo network and direct attached storage (NAS/DAS) devices;
providing a single, secure cloud vault for a consolidated catalog of
files.

“Adding files uploaded to Creative Cloud via Lightroom completes all of
the major cloud resources a photographer or creative would use to store
and archive photos and files,” said Tyrone Pike, President and CEO of
FileShadow. “Now, users can store files in the Creative Cloud, and
FileShadow will store and protect those files without having to export
to a different cloud storage system.”

FileShadow does not replace Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Creative Cloud or
other cloud storage vendors; it aggregates data from these sources and
protects it in a single, secure cloud vault.

As files are added to FileShadow’s service, extensive, searchable
metadata is created for each file. The service discovers a file’s
content and location (GPS), performs optical character recognition (OCR)
on PDF documents, and creates machine learning (ML)-generated vision
tags for photographic images and graphics. This analysis helps users
more effectively find files that are stored on their various cloud
storage accounts and Drobo NAS/DAS devices.

The service also archives each revision and generation of every file,
regardless of whether or not it was retained in the original, linked
cloud storage system—thus providing a specific system of record for all
files stored in each cloud storage account.

The FileShadow Service delivers “11 Nines” of durability, providing the
assurance that assets stored on Adobe Lightroom Photos will be instantly
accessible, fully protected in a secure cloud vault, and available for a
lifetime.

The FileShadow Service is free of charge for up to 100 GB of data.
Subscriptions are available for more storage.
