Precision Medical Solutions® Specializes in Infant Circumcision in Denver

Medical Director Dr. Briana Oster brings nearly a decade of
experience to state-of-the-art clinic

DENVER–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Infant circumcision is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics
(Circumcision
Policy Statement
), the Pediatrics Journal (Pediatricians
Decide Boys Are Better Off Circumcised Than Not
) and the World
Health Organization due to health benefits that extend throughout a
male’s life. These benefits include reduced incidence of STDs/HIV,
improved hygiene, prevention of phimosis, decreased risk of UTI and
infection, decreased risk of penile cancer, decreased risk of cervical
cancer in partners, and decreased risk of sexual dysfunction later in
life. In North America alone, more than one million infant circumcisions
are performed each year.

Although many parents choose to circumcise their babies at the hospital
just after birth, medical research indicates that the best time to
circumcise a child is later — between 7 and 21 days old. At this point,
babies are young enough to be relatively unaware of the procedure, but
old enough that they have had time to recover from the physical trauma
of birth. At Precision Medical Solutions®, Doctor Oster can
schedule an infant circumcision at the ideal time for your baby and is
always available to talk through questions.

Dr. Briana Oster says, “I’m excited that I can bring my 10 years of
experience performing infant circumcisions to this new clinic in Denver.
I am extremely proud that this specialization allows me to provide my
patients and families with the care, experience, and attention they
deserve.”
