Idaho Small Business Development Center Hosts Free Informational Meeting for Businesses About Funds Available for Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

BOISE, Idaho–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#EVcharger–The Idaho Small Business Development Center (www.idahosbdc.org),
will offer two free informational sessions about the funds that are
available to host electric vehicle charging stations.
As part of the settlement made by VW, Idaho businesses can apply for
$2.8 million in funds available to host electric vehicle charging
stations along Idaho designated electric vehicle corridors. The $2.8
million is part of the Idaho portion of the VW settlement to reduce air
pollution.
“Participating in the electric vehicle charging station opportunity is a
great way to not only support this type of transportation, but will
ultimately bring visibility to businesses that are participating in this
program. When motorists stop to charge their vehicle along the
designated corridors, it is anticipated they will stop to eat or shop at
the businesses where the electric vehicle charging stations are
located,” stated Belinda Breidenbach Environmental Assistance
Coordinator – Idaho SBDC.

Electric vehicle basics, vehicles, types of charging and charging
stations - The increasing demand of charging stations in Idaho
- Idaho’s designated electric vehicle corridors
- The potential economic benefit of hosting a charging station
Avista Power will also be a part of the meeting to discuss the power
needed for the charging stations.

SBDC, Lewiston
Friday, November 9, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m., North Idaho College SBDC,
Coeur d’Alene
