Aviatrix Extends Its AVX Software-Defined Cloud Routing to Automate Management of New Amazon Web Services Transit Networking

LAS VEGAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#AWS(AWS re:Invent 2018)Aviatrix,
a pioneer in software-defined cloud routing today announced a new
feature of its AVX cloud router called the Aviatrix Orchestrator. This
new Aviatrix feature helps enterprises to deploy and manage Amazon Web
Services (AWS) Transit Gateway, a service that allows organizations to
connect their Amazon Virtual Private Clouds (Amazon VPCs) and
on-premises networks to a single gateway.

“Our software-defined approach allows organizations to automate the
management of all cloud networking through our AVX Controller—whether
it’s the AWS Transit Gateway or another AWS networking service—to
simplify networking for organizations doing business in the cloud,” said
Steven Mih, CEO of Aviatrix. “Aviatrix software helps organizations meet
all their cloud networking requirements—from VPC egress filtering and
remote-user VPN to global transit VPCs and encrypted peering—using a
single architecture.”

Aviatrix Orchestrator builds on the Aviatrix strategy to unify
management of both AWS native networking services and Aviatrix services
via a single management console. The new feature is available as part of
the AVX Controller, which already provisions and monitors native AWS
capabilities such as VPC creation, IP address management, inter-region
(PCX) peering and AWS Direct Connect (i.e., virtual gateway)
configurations. Using the Aviatrix software-defined approach, cloud
practitioners can easily deploy the optimal routing and network security
services to meet the budgetary, functional and performance requirements
of their business.

“Our customers are increasingly looking for innovative networking
technology that can help them manage their workloads more efficiently,”
said David Brown, vice president, EC2 Compute & Networking, Amazon Web
Services, Inc. “We’re delighted with Aviatrix’s AVX Orchestrator and its
integration with AWS Transit Gateway, to offer customers a
software-defined cloud routing approach that can help them further
automate and simplify their cloud networking use cases.”

AWS Transit Gateway allows enterprises to interconnect many VPCs and
easily connect VPCs to on-premises networks. AWS Transit Gateway route
domains enhance cloud networking security and compliance processes by
allowing VPCs to be isolated and segmented according to business
requirements using layer 3 (i.e., IP routing-level) networking policies.

Aviatrix Orchestrator enhances AWS Transit Gateway by adding a powerful
automation layer that allows cloud practitioners to not only provision
and implement route domains securely and accurately, but also configure
and propagate segmentation policies automatically. Aviatrix Orchestrator
also integrates built-in troubleshooting and visualization tools for
monitoring the entire environment.

Availability and Price

The Aviatrix Orchestrator is available now as an optional feature of the
Aviatrix AVX Controller. New Aviatrix customers can obtain the AWS
Transit Gateway Orchestrator functionality by launching the Aviatrix
Secure Networking Platform (metered) AMI from AWS Marketplace. Existing
customers can obtain the new functionality by performing a one-click
upgrade of their AVX software to the latest version. Customers choosing
to activate the feature will be billed via AWS Marketplace on a
per-hour, pay-as-you-go basis. Aviatrix also offers tools and services
to migrate existing configurations to the new AWS Transit Gateway
service.

November 26 – 30, 2018, Aviatrix will be offering demos of its
software-defined cloud routing architecture and AVX Orchestrator in
Booth #1638. Aviatrix solutions architects will be available at the
booth to answer questions about the new Aviatrix AVX Orchestrator and
AWS Transit Gateway and how they might be implemented in specific
applications. Aviatrix products will also be featured in the AWS Jam
Lounge on November 26 – 29, a highly gamified event in which teams
compete to solve various challenges and win prizes.
