InfluxData Launches Modern Capabilities for Kubernetes on AWS Marketplace for Containers
InfluxData’s New Solutions Simplify Monitoring, Accelerate Deployment
and Empower Amazon Web Services Customers to Reduce “Time to Awesome”
for Analytics and Machine Learning
LAS VEGAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–(AWS re:Invent 2018) — InfluxData, the modern
Open Source Platform built specifically for metrics, events and
other time series data that empowers developers to build next-generation
monitoring, analytics and Internet of Things (IoT) applications, today
announced the availability of new data monitoring and analytics
capabilities for the Kubernetes ecosystem on the newly launched Amazon
Web Services (AWS) Marketplace for Containers.
AWS customers can now use the Amazon
Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) console and AWS Marketplace
for Containers website to discover, produce, and deploy container
solutions – including the InfluxData Open Source Platform. With today’s
release, AWS Marketplace has extended its existing benefits and features
to container products, with a rich discovery and search experience
offering access to a curated catalog of trusted software from reputable
vendors. From day one, AWS
customers can find and deploy InfluxData and begin monitoring
container environments in just minutes at https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/B07KGM885K.
These new solutions allow customers to utilize both InfluxDB Open Source
and InfluxDB Enterprise on AWS Marketplace, optimizing handling of time
series data from Kubernetes infrastructure for popular use cases,
including:
Amazon EKS Monitoring: This one-click capability is available
today and certified to run on AWS. Organizations can utilize InfluxDB
Open Source or InfluxDB Enterprise as a data store to support a wide
variety of monitoring use cases for their Kubernetes environments.
Amazon EKS Deployment: AWS customers can choose between deploying
InfluxDB Enterprise on a VM using a Terraform module or InfluxDB Open
Source on a container using an Operator. Regardless of whether an
organization operates in a hybrid container environment or is
transitioning to a fully serverless model, it will enjoy turnkey
deployment capabilities for InfluxData custom built for AWS.
Data Analytics & Machine Learning: AWS customers can benefit
from improved observability and instrumentation of Kubernetes
environments. Data scientists can store and output data from InfluxDB to
solve real-world business problems to optimize Kubernetes
infrastructure; all the way from research and model development to
collection and analysis of machine learning metrics.
“Increasingly, InfluxData customers are leveraging AWS for managing
their Kubernetes environments,” said Sharjeel Noor, Senior Director,
Platform & Partnerships at InfluxData. “With new offerings from
InfluxData now available on AWS Marketplace for Containers,
organizations have the flexibility to easily and quickly instrument
their Kubernetes infrastructure and increase velocity to achieve higher
order capabilities such as analytics and machine learning.”
