GoTie Launches Kickstarter Campaign for a Traditional Tie Alternative

Chuck Norris Signs on as Official Spokesperson

LAS VEGAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–lt;a href=”https://twitter.com/hashtag/Chuckstarter?src=hash” target=”_blank”gt;#Chuckstarterlt;/agt;–GoTie
CEO and former U.S. Army Blackhawk pilot Captain Adam Lucero announced a
Kickstarter campaign for his fashionable solution to the traditional
necktie. In 2010, he conceived GoTie: an adjustable necktie with a
patented “slide-knot” that looks and feels exactly like a complex,
traditional necktie. The slide knot stays perfectly positioned and fits
any neck size, and anyone from five to seven feet tall in seconds,
providing the same elegant look at a fraction of the cost of designer
neckwear.

While men’s neckties have been around for centuries and remain a
foundation of traditional masculine attire, the time and care required
tie a necktie properly can be a daily pain in the neck. This daunting
and often problematic decorative symbol can slow down an otherwise
productive morning. Alternatives to the traditional necktie, like the
clip-on, have been around since the 1930s, yet are more of a fashion
joke than a solution. The GoTie CEO developed the idea while
transferring between assignments in the Army National Guard.

“I found myself thinking of the more than one million disabled veterans
trying to transition into the civilian work force, with so many unable
to tie the most basic element needed for an interview: the necktie. I
considered our aging population of businessmen, some with the onset of
arthritis, struggling to master a stylish necktie; the kid at his high
school graduation trying to fashion an acceptable knot. I wanted to
revolutionize everything about how men tied neckties, and how they
thought of themselves during the styling process,” Lucero recalls.
“GoTie removes the obstacles many men face, without compromising style
or quality.”

As a direct-to-consumer online retailer, GoTie LLC’s patents have
generated more than a million sales to date and have been featured on
MTV, VH-1, NBC, CBS and FOX TV. GoTie has attracted a dedicated
following including one of the world’s most enduringly popular stars,
Chuck Norris, who recently signed on as an official spokesperson.

“I was immediately attracted to this veteran-owned company and Adam’s
vision for revolutionizing the necktie,” said Norris. “Not only is he
breaking fashion barriers, but he is also making his stylish product
inclusive of everyone.”

GoTie offers 130 designs in full windsor and skinny knot styles, to
appeal to a variety of customer, beginning at $45.00. Designed in the
USA with high quality, 100% hand-made microfiber that is wrinkle and
stain resistant, the equal opportunity enterprise shares a commitment to
sustainability. Visit the GoTie
