BOULDER, Colo.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–lt;a href=”https://twitter.com/hashtag/ExpoWest?src=hash” target=”_blank”gt;#ExpoWestlt;/agt;–Goddess
Garden, known for their highly effective, award-winning,
reef-safe mineral sunscreens, has renovated mineral sunscreen with a
powerful new SPF 50 line made with clear zinc, which they will showcase
at Expo West this week. Introduced in tandem with the Florida Keys’ vote
to ban sunscreen chemicals like oxybenzone and octinoxate, the new
formulas made with premium zinc and plant-powered ingredients offer an
enhanced sunscreen experience that is ultra-sheer on any skin tone. The
Goddess Garden SPF 50 sunscreen formulations include zinc oxide, are
fully compliant with the new reef-safe sunscreen legislation passed in
Hawaii and Key West and meet the FDA’s proposed rule on sunscreens
generally recognized as safe and effective.
Launching in stores throughout the U.S. and Canada, Goddess Garden
sunscreens feature bright, sunny colors that distinguish the different
users, with a henna-inspired mandala design to represent mindfulness.
The internal mission of the company to be authentic and transparent now
resonates on the outside of the packaging itself, reminding
eco-conscious consumers of the power of their choices. This also
reinforces the benefits of using reef-safe, plant-powered products made
with zinc oxide, one of two ingredients the FDA’s new proposed rule
recognizes as being generally safe and effective for sunscreen.
“Goddess Garden has become a leader in reef-safe sunscreen,” explains
CEO and Founder Nova Covington. “After learning sunscreen chemicals kill
coral reefs, we redoubled our efforts to spread the word about reef-safe
zinc sunscreens, renewing our commitment to protecting families, the
Earth and the ocean’s habitats.”
In response to consumer demand for higher SPF options that are safe for
coral reefs and our bodies, Goddess Garden created new SPF 50 lotions
and sticks in Sport, Kids and Baby formulas. “With our enhanced
formulas, we hope to continue making as big of an impact as possible in
this world by providing premium, sheer, plant-powered products that
protect all skin types,” continued Nova. “Our new sunscreen line with
ultra-sheer and dry-touch SPF 50 provides not only additional sun
protection, but an improved user experience that meets the new reef-safe
legislation.”
