Former Nav Executive Dave King Appointed Vice President of Engineering at GearLaunch

Ecommerce and Fintech Expert Brings Enterprise-Scale Thinking to
Ecommerce Platform Provider, Focusing on Building GearLaunch’s Salt Lake
City Tech Hub and Expanding the Platform’s Product Portfolio

former CTO at leading fintech company Nav, is joining the team as Vice
President of Engineering. In this role, King will be instrumental in
building out the company’s new technology hub in Salt Lake City, UT,
hiring local talent to expand GearLaunch’s engineering team.

In addition to strengthening GearLaunch’s technology team and process,
King will oversee the expansion of the GearLaunch ecommerce platform
product portfolio, quadrupling the number of SKUs available for custom
design and creation.

Prior to joining GearLaunch, King was founding CTO of fintech solutions
provider Nav, where he built a team of more than 30 web, mobile and QA
engineers and oversaw development of the company’s unique product which
attracted more than 270,000 customers, and allowed Nav to raise almost
$60M in less than five years. Before Nav, King held software and web
development leadership roles with companies like Proofpoint, Lingotek
and Panasonic. He holds a B.S. degree in computer science from
Westminster College.
