Award-winning film & disability advocate coming to USU

My Dad Matthew—the award-winning movie and the man—are both coming to Utah State University on Friday, April 26, at 6 pm. The presentation is in the Sorenson Legacy Foundation Center for Clinical Excellence, Room 150.

In the six-minute film, 14-year old Elijah tells the “pretty boring and normal� story of his father, a university researcher and instructor. But Matthew Wangeman, born with cerebral palsy, also has a significant disability. He communicates via a pointer on his helmet and a letter board. Matthew works at the Institute for Human Development at Northern Arizona University, and he is an advocate for people with disabilities at the local, state and national level. He will give a short lecture and answer questions following the presentation. The event is free and open to the public, so bring the family!
