Day of the Dead Procession

Celebrate your ancestors in the way long performed in Mexico — The Dead of the Dead Procession. The procession begins at Old Main and then proceeds around campus to live tunes. Costumes encouraged but not required. It’s the largest such procession in the state. Sponsored by the Latinx Creative Society and Northern Utah Hispanic Health Coalition.
The event remember family, friends, and loved ones who have died. The celebration is based on the belief that departed souls continue to exist and return every year to visit family. This cultural tradition has been celebrated in Latin America for more than 2,500 years and is open to all cultures, all art forms, and all people.
