Dr. Vellody Joins Daiya Healthcare as Regional Medical Director for Oregon
BELLEVUE, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Daiya Healthcare, an innovative multi-specialty post-acute physicians’ group, is pleased to announce that Dr. Nita Vellody, has joined the company as the Regional Medical Director for Oregon. Dr. Velody is a board-certified internal medicine physician who earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Des Moines University in Iowa. She moved to Portland after completing her residency and fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Vellody enjoys working in post-acute care and finds it uniquely satisfying to be able to combine primary care principles to the skilled nursing/post-acute care settings. Her passion for teaching and experience working as a Medical Director in the Portland area makes Dr. Vellody a valuable member of the Daiya Healthcare team.
In her role as the Regional Medical Director, Dr. Vellody will provide leadership, training support to the facility staff, implementing best practices, ongoing training, and expertise in the in the QAPI process. Dr. Vellody will also provide clinical support to the Daiya Healthcare providers throughout Oregon.
