National Brain Tumor Society Marks Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with Virtual Concert, Raises Awareness and Funds for Pediatric Brain Tumor Research

BOSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#CCAM–National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS) will host the organization’s first-ever virtual benefit concert on Thursday, September 17 (8:30 p.m. EST), as part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Denver-based, internationally acclaimed artist Mike Massé will perform some of the all-time best classic rock songs live for viewers on the NBTS Website, YouTube, and Facebook.

Virtual concert-goers are encouraged to contribute to the National Brain Tumor Society’s efforts to defeat pediatric brain tumors. Donate now and during the concert: https://braintumor.org/take-action/mike-masse-live/.

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is a time to honor and advocate for children and families who have been impacted by cancer. Pediatric brain tumors are the leading cause of cancer-related deaths among children and young adults ages 19 and younger. While tremendous advances have been made across the rest of the pediatric cancer spectrum, little progress has been made in the treatment of pediatric brain tumors. NBTS has organized this special event to emphasize the need for research that can lead to safer and more effective treatments.

Listeners to Thursday’s concert can expect to hear timeless hits from The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, U2, Elton John, and many more. All are welcome to tune in and raise awareness and funds to create change to last a lifetime.
