‘Tis the season! Especially, if you’re a big fan of holiday made-for-TV films.

Utah has played a significant role in many holiday films over the years. From downtown Salt Lake City to Park City Main Street to the quaint towns of Midway and Heber City, to the busy streets of Provo and surrounding Utah County, to everything in between. In 2020, these productions were some of the first to successfully begin filming with set precautions for a COVID-19 world. We’re pleased that Utah served not only as an adaptable place to film, but also as the consistently desired backdrop in a handful of films that are premiering this season! This couldn’t have been done without our resilient local film community.

Holly & Ivy

Holly & Ivy stars Janel Parrish, Jeremy Jordan, and Marisol Nichols. The film follows the story of Melody and her neighbor, Nina. Once she learns that her illness has returned, Melody promises to keep Nina’s kids, Holly & Ivy, together. To adopt the children, she must renovate her new fixer-upper, which she does with the help of contractor, Adam. The film shot in Utah for about three weeks during July and August and was one of the early productions to shoot during the COVID-19 pandemic.
