Five Things to do in Cache Valley
If you’re bored and looking for something to entertain your family in the Cache Valley area, look no further. Cache County is home to a great selection of cheap activities that will entertain you and your kids all day.
Take a walk in Logan Canyon
We are fortunate enough to live in an area with mountains as our backyards, so why not explore them? Take your kids for an easy walk down the Logan River Trail in Logan Canyon. This trail will not only get you out of the house for a few hours, but it also offers beautiful views and a paved trail that will help hauling that stroller around a little easier.
Go on a bike ride to a nearby park
There’s a wide selection of parks throughout Cache Valley, making it easy to find one near your home. Taking your kids out for a bike ride to the closest park is an easy and free way to get exercise and lots of play time in as a family.
Visit the American West Heritage Center
If you want to a more educational experience, visit American West Heritage Center. Step back in time for a low fee of $6 for adults and $4 for children and experience the rich culture of Cache Valley. Whether you want to make candles or watch butter get churned, there’s always something new to see at the American West Heritage Center.
Go sledding down Old Main Hill
It’s hard to convince yourself to leave the house during the winter, but bundling up the kids and sledding down Old Main Hill is a fantastic way to spend a snowy Saturday.
Though sledding down Old Main Hill is free, be cautious. Small children should be supervised and should avoid going down the length of the large hill. When done with caution, this activity will create wonderful memories for the entire family. Be sure to warm up with some hot chocolate afterward.
Visit the Logan Library
Spending an afternoon at the library is a great way to have fun and save money at the same time. The library has a wide selection of books and is always an adventure for your child. The Logan Library also hosts story time on certain dates, so check that out.
Though it may often seem like there’s not much to do in Cache Valley, there is always something waiting to be explored by your whole family. Explore Logan Canyon or the Library. Take a bike ride to your favorite park and feed the ducks or experience the olden days at the heritage center. Any of these activities will not only create memories for your children, but they will also remind you why you’re proud to call Cache Valley home.
