Manila native Rodell Rosel is a guest of many major U.S. opera companies including the Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Metropolitan Opera. Formerly a member of the Ryan Opera Center, Rosel studied at the University of California in Los Angeles where he sang the title role in Britten’s Albert Herring and the leading roles in Mozart, Rossini and Ravel. Rosel has received a third place award from the Palm Beach Opera Vocal Competition and was a finalist at the Loren Zachary National Vocal Competition. He is the recipient of scholarships from the National Academy of Recording Artists and Sciences and more.
